The new futon and coffee table.

I managed to get the futon downstairs on my own. I cheated. I took it apart. The mattress was actually the hardest part.  Thing weighs a ton, probably more than the entire frame. The coffeetable was relatively light, and I wrestled that downstairs on my own as well.

The futon frame needs some repair work. There’s a crack on the left side, unfortunately on a load-bearing part. The cracked part has a groove for the ‘rollers’ to pass through when changing from couch to bed configuration, so it’s not as simple as screwing/nailing it back together. I may have to screw a metal brace around it, or screw a 2x4 underneath it to bear the weight.
