DIY #2

A little recycling area inside the water heater closet. Household “curbside” recycles (plastic, glass, aluminum), redeemable (for cash) cans and bottles, and paper (which ultimately goes in with the ‘curbside’ stuff, but having a basket for flat papers is handy.) Note the 2x4 I mounted on the wall since the studs were the wrong distance apart to put nails in directly to hang the basket.

This also was my second use of the new saw, and the first use of the sawhorses, T-square, safety glasses and earplugs I got today to go with it.

Also, started the repair of the futon. Step 1 was to slop wood glue into the cracks and clamp it down. It’s drying right now.
