More theme tomfoolery

Made another minor change, again for IE support. Under IE, the tags list at the bottom of each post was showing up in the blue background color instead of the white of the box below. Trying to change its background color caused the text to have the proper background, but was still surrounded by a border of blue. So I just moved it back to the right, with the time and comment link, in IE only. Chrome and Firefox will still sport my intended arrangement.

More theme work

Tinkered with the theme so IE doesn’t butcher it, using some handy conditionals that cause IE to ignore offending code. Firefox and Chrome (the other two I’ve tested it with) users should see no difference, but IE falls back to the old square corner design. It’s not ideal, but at least it’s reasonable.

Theme, Mk. III

Added rounded corners to the theme. It looks very nice now.

I will now go look at it in Internet Explorer and scream when it royally fucks it up.

Theme, Mk. II

Further tweaked the theme. The only thing left that I really want to do is add rounded corners, but that’s a bit more complicated.

Also considering submitting it to the Theme Garden.

Theme

Messing with the theme on the blog. It’s a modified version of the ‘Block’ theme. It’s mostly how I want it but I want to clean up the CSS a bit. Absolute font sizes = bad.

For a while it was stuck on an interim version of the theme and nothing I did caused it to change. Posting this post seems to have woken it up.

Oh yeah, need to get the tags listing restored, but not now. Have to get ready for work now.

Tardis Labs 3.0

If you’re reading this (and you’re paying attention) you might have noticed that this Tumblr blog is the new Tardis Labs website. The old site wasn’t doing much (really, the only reason I kept it around was to host my email), so I decided to put it to productive use.

All the old content (at least, all the old content that was there since the last culling) is still there, at the original URLs (except for the root URL), and accessible from the ‘Legacy’ link above.

And now for the technical details: blog.tardislabs.com resolves to tumblr’s servers (producing this blog), and is now the canonical address for the blog. www.tardislabs.com (or just tardislabs.com) is the same web server as before, with the same content, except that the root url redirects to blog.tardislabs.com. /index.html gives the old index file, as does /legacy.
